Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class. 2000AD - THE WEEKLY PROG I have begun to list 2000AD Extreme Editions, UK Aliens Monthly, Judge Dredd, The Complete Law In Order, and 2000AD Presents Crisis. I feel that they represent sequential reading continuity enjoyment, as well as major bang for buck value! But guess what most of my messages have been requesting? Yes, you have it right, the original 2000AD weekly progs! Especially the vintage issues from the seventies and the early eighties! Just because a comic is older, does not mean it is better! But there is just no talking to you Sqauxx Dex Thargo, you just seem to go Ga Ga! About the early era of thrill power. The early Progs have imperfections on the imperfections! Expect the full gauntlet! Discoloration, signs of age, rusted staples, filled in puzzles, small rips, minor repairs, newsagent writing, perforations and so on. If you like to collect mint comics, then early 2000AD is probably not for you. You need a sense of humour to have an appreciation for these distressed breauties! I am constantly amazed when I see some sellers listing them as excellent, they weren't even excellent back when they were new! Pat Mills famously said the paper quality was toilet roll standard! But despite this, these early Progs are dynamite! The vibrancy, anarchy and counter culture attitude vividly jump off the pages. 2000AD made our world, a better world. It has also excerted it's influence all over modern day culture, even for people who have never read the weekly prog, because it's influence is all over movies, shows, music, graphic design, US comics, novels, and fashion. Thank goodness it is now going stronger than ever. It's more nuanced now, but it has remained true, to its core values! The humour, attitude, energy, and vibrancy will still hit you when you open a modern day Prog. Tharg and his very talented creators have given so much to the world, their level of dedication and talent is staggering, and we, Sqauxx Dex Thargo are eternally grateful for the precious gift of thrill power. The content of these early Progs are priceless, thank goodness that we can still buy vintage thrill power for just a few quid. undiluted, mainly uncensored thrill power! If you have only read the graphic novels, you are missing out because you are not getting the features, the nerve centre letters, Ro Jaws reviews, readers art, quizzes and competitions, advertisement's and so on, it really adds to the enjoyment and fun! You also get the one page humour strip's like Walter The Wobot, that as far as I am aware, have not been reprinted! I will shortly begin to list other progs from the early days of the galaxy's greatest ! watch this space! SOME OBSERVATIONS TO CONSIDER IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING FROM MY COLLECTION - I am not a comic dealer, I am a comic fan selling andoff loading some of my collection. The comic's are being sold as seen, in what I call pre enjoyed satisfactory condition. Some will have imperfections like age, creases, newsagent writing, shelf wear, minor repairs, corner dinks and so on. My advice is to use the zoom feature provided by eBay, if you see something you don't like, please do not buy. Get in touch instead and I will try to provide more details. Some of the comics will be in very decent condition, however, please see this as a bonus, and not a rule. As a general rule, I do not sell comics that I would not be happy to pickup and read myself.
