The Roxburghe Club was formed in San Francisco on April 3, 1928 and was named in honor of the original Roxburghe Club of England. The purpose of both clubs is to further the love of fine printing, and books in general. Both clubs meet in joint biennial meetings and, over the years, hundreds of announcements, keepsakes, and other letterpress items which have been sponsored by members, as typographic souvenirs and gifts passed out during the meeting for the enjoyment of the membership.
