Description: 2005 West Virginia Quarter Errors Improperly Annealed BLACK BEAUTY w/ manyErrors. Multiple strike errors on obverse and reverse. Obverse errors: Washington black eye, nose and side of mouth T in “STATES” is doubled and smeared at bottom of T. Die gouges, Die breaks and multiple planchet errors including the rim. Reverse errors: W in “WEST” is doubled and smeared strike error at bottom. V in “VIRGINIA” doubles and smeared strike error on top. Double die and die breaks on bridge. Die breaks and gouging in New River Gorge. Multiple die breaks in the background . Also appears to be some sort of strike through imprint of letters next to the 2 in “2005”. I can’t quite make out all the letters but appears to be T 3 T or Y. Absolutely incredible and very unique. Extremely beautiful coloring. It’s one of my personal favorites.
