They are great until you put a large load to theirs output or use them close to the limited maximal parameters.-Those controllers does not have proper supply filtering with many capacitors what is very important! Without supply capacitors the most of these controllers regularly burning down. -They does not have proper freewheel diode system against the motor inductive current! Because of this controllers can burn and go total destruction when the speed range is lower and load current is high.-Most of them does not have any current limit or thermal limit protection which is very important. DC motors can consume 3-5x of the nominal current when at start or when acceleration is needed. Without current measurement and limitation the power stage burn down. A digital ultra fast current monitoring can protect the motor and the controller and make system reliable.-Most of them are using mechanic relays to change the output direction. Changing the output direction with relays can be dangerous to the controller because any accidental reversal when the motor is still spinning can cause potential destruction of the power stage.-Most of them has only one way to use with just a potentiometer or they do not have acceleration limit, no regeneration function, no serial communication or other special controlling mode and they are not flexible to implement them in an existing industrial system. These controllers has all in one functions and we keep developing them if any other request or market demand occurs.How to use these controllers? With the current limit potentiometer you can very fine adjust the current what the motor can maximum consumes. If you want you can set acceleration limits, voltage turn ON/OFF points, regeneration modes. Also if you want you can use serial communication or PWM as a control mode. Functions are highly flexible. After this your motor and PWM driver is fully protected against the burning down or overload. Additional protection is the temperature protection. The controller measures the temperature of heat sink. If that exceeds the maximum the controller will shut down. Do we have different kind of controllers? Yes we have! In different power levels.
