Description: This is an original Emeco side dining chair, Model 1006, originally designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy. This chair was built by hand from recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Aluminum is an excellent material for seating as it is lightweight and is also naturally fireproof. The chair measures 19.5 inches long, 15.5 inches wide, and 34 inches high. The seat height is 18 inches. This chair is in very good condition as it has been freshly polished. There may be the errant scratch that we have not detected. Please see photos. The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction.
