Description: 2018 Kilauea Volcano Fissure 17 Aerial View Silver Halide Photo All photographs are processed at a professional photo lab and have standard white borders unless otherwise stated. We DO NOT sell desktop printer, discount chain or kiosk processed photos. Here we have a photo showing fissure 17 as shown from the air. The HVO field crew reported that the spattering height and intensity at Fissure 17 seemed to have intensified slightly from the previous day, but the length of active spattering in the fissure is shorter. The overall vigor of Fissure 17 appeared to have dropped over the previous two days, accompanying a stalling of the fissure 17 flow front. The original image dated to May 17, 2018, Hawaii. You can see our other Volcano items by clicking here. Or have a look at all of our Silver Halide Historical Photos by clicking here.
