Description: Offered is this vintage wood-framed watercolor of a red-haired female dancer in a flowing blue dress. The piece has been dated 1983 and is signed but I am not sure of the name; Etts, Watts or perhaps initials like WHS or EHS (see photo #6). There are some hand-written words in pencil near the bottom, presumably written by the artist, but I'm not sure what they say; they may be in German (see photos #7 & #8). The watercolor is on paper which has been attached to a backing board-there is no matting. The light oak-colored wood frame is approx. 21 1/2" x 17 1/2", with an opening of about 19 5/8" x 15 1/2". The watercolor itself is approx. 19" x 14". The frame and glass are in very good to excellent condition; there is no damage to the glass and only a few light scuffs, etc. to the wood. The watercolor itself has no tears, but is slightly wavy, has yellowed slightly and is slightly soiled in places along the very edge. The back has a cardboard tab for hanging but it would probably be more secure if a wire was added. Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!
