It's not recommended for very young children because of the eyes possibly being pulled out, but it would take a great deal of force. Many customers, if they want to gift it to a younger child, have pulled the eyes off, and embroidered eyes in their place. The fur is so dense, you can barely see the eyes, so the "modification" usually goes unnoticed. This bear is handmade by Peruvian artisans, and is one of a kind.
