Description: This is a very nice Schoenau-Hoffmeister Bisque Socket Head Doll mounted on a BJD antique composition body that appears to be in good shape. The stringing has loosened a bit since I first bought the doll, and the person who purchases her may prefer a more tightly strung doll. She does hold a standing pose with support, and sits up with no problem, but she is not a tightly strung as when I first bought her. If I find the time, I will restring her. She has brown glass sleepy eyes but her head has been packed for shipping and display. Her blonde human hair wig is an antique and has been refreshed and secured to her pate. She is wearing a pale mint green party dress with pale yellow highlights at the collar, puff sleeves, and the double row of ribbon trim laced at the hemline. Ribbon roses of pink, blue, and yellow are also featured at the collar and on two ribbon bows on the latticed ribbons on the hemline. Very pretty! A full crinoline with rubbled strips of yellow and pink material that stick out of the bottom of the dress adds to the length and the fullness of the dress and can be eschewed, if you prefer a shorter version of the dress. Pink pantalettes, off-white stockings, and pink Mary Jane shoes complete the ensemble. A final addition of a pink and white checked bonnet crowns her blonde curls. Isn't she the cutest girl?
