DOA policy not available if request USPS shipping or UPS ground. DOA policy - the greatest care is taken to make sure that your snails arrive to you in a healthy condition. On the rare chance that your snail arrives DOA, and no extra snails were provided to you for “DOA”, you must provide photos and video that the snail has passed within 24 hours of receipt of the package. A dead snail will smell horribly and their body will not stay in the shell. A snail that is sucked into its shell, takes a while to wake up, or is floating is not happy (most likely ammonia sick) but has not died. Snails in this state may take a little longer to acclimate. Always add a declorinator (like Seachem Prime) and stress coat to their acclimation water to help with the sickness. After 24 hours, Moe’s Aquatics will not be responsible for replacement due to death of the snail. Proven DOAs can either be refunded for DOA snail (excluding shipping cost), or if stock is available a replacement will be provided. Failure to notify Moe’s Aquatics within 24 hours of receipt of the package with proper proof of death (as stated above) will make the DOA policy null and void.
