Description: 3 Nice Thanksgiving Antique Postcards. EMB, Gold Trim. Air Brushed. Good Detail This is a nice selection of antique THANKSGIVING postcards that show full design TURKEYS in rural areas. The postcards are AIR BRUSHED with color. These have the classic turkey look seen on antique postcards from the early 1900s. The postcards are nicely drawn and have a colorful and attractive look to them. They have good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. These are STRONGLY EMBOSSED postcards and they are beautifully GOLD TRIM. These come from different publishers. AIR BRUSHED postcards are unique and only had a "short life" in the history of postcards. Most of these Air Brushed postcards were "Printed in Germany" during the early years of the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). Publishers stopped making these types of postcards during World War I. Air Brushed postcards were first made by embossing the paper, and then hand-coloring the paper by using an air-operated tool to spray paint the ink or dye onto the postcard. Those that were designed with GOLD TRIM and GLITTER had an extra step since the gold / glitter was added afterwards to enhance the postcard’s beauty. Air brushed postcards have now become collector items. They are a pleasure to look at with their bright and colorful look. The designs of these postcards have the feel of the Thanksgiving season, and provide a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s. They are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because of their nice designs, their colorful nature, and how they capture the postcard style used back in the early 1900s. Overall, a nice selection of antique Thanksgiving postcards. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (2) with a cancel date of 1910. These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).
