Description: WWII War Ration Books DESCRIPTION This listing is for a lot of three World War II ration books with stamps still inside them. These ration books were used on the Home Front during the war in order to get rationed food and goods. They are: War Ration Book No. 3- Serial number 40635 DD. Issued to Kenneth Lee Heider of Cape Girardeau in Missouri. It measures 4.5" x 5.75". There are three complete sheets of stamps plus a few loose ones inside. There are 48 stamps to a page. NOTE: This book has a significant chunk missing from the bottom that extends to all the pages including the stamp pages. . War Ration Book No. 3- Serial number 40634 DD. Issued to Lena Heider of Cape Girardeau in Missouri. It measures 4.5" x 5.75". There are four complete sheets of stamps inside. There are 48 stamps to a page. . War Ration Book No. 4- Serial number 377876 S. Issued to Lena Heider of Cape Girardeau in Missouri. It measures 4.5" x 5.75". There are 19 stamps still in the book PLUS a lot of loose stamps that appear to be from other books. The ones in the book are for coffee or for spare rations which I'm guessing were usable for a variety of different goods. There are also 36 loose stamps of the same kind. Then there 4 loose stamps with tanks on them that just say "ration." There are 44 loose stamps in green that have N, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, X, Y, or X on them with pictures of wheat. Finally, there are 34 loose stamps in blue that have X, Y, or Z on them with pictures of wheat. Most of these have a little penciled 'x' on them. Condition: These documents are all showing their age with wear, tears, marks, stains, wrinkles and bumped corners. Item #1 has a significant chunk missing from the bottom that extends to all the pages including the stamp pages.
