We are not selling the specific colors individually or custom requests at this time. We ship in specially made quail egg foam shippers which is included as part of the cost of shipping. If you need us to ship at a later date please message us prior to purchasing so we can increase our shipping lead time so we will not be penalized by for shipping late. We regularly check fertility rates and frequently incubate our own eggs for a way to be self sustainable, we enjoy quail for meat and eggs for our family and also to make sure you are getting high quality, healthy and fertile hatching eggs. Coturnix quail are hardy birds that require minimal care and space, they convert feed to eggs efficiently, and begin to lay eggs as early as 6 - 8 weeks of age. Coturnix quail eggs are smaller than chicken eggs but are considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. Quail eggs are a healthy and less allergenic alternative to chicken eggs and they are higher in B12, Iron and protein. ***PLEASE READ***Please do not purchase if you don't agree with the following. We do not accept returns or offer refunds. Please note that buying shipped eggs for hatching is a gamble and a 50% or higher hatch rate for shipped eggs is considered a good hatch from anyone. *********Please know that especially with shipped eggs, lack of development does NOT equal infertility. The eggs that leave our farm are fertile, what happens after they leave here is unpredictable. Shipped eggs will often appear unfertilized if they experience trauma during transit, such as being dropped, tossed, rolled, x-rayed, the jostling/vibration during a rough transit, or being subjected to too hot or cold conditions or if your eggs get delayed in transit, this can all impact your hatch rate. Generally, if an egg does not develop at all, it was damaged during shipping. If it started to develop, but did not hatch, it is likely due to conditions in the incubator. In most non professional incubators it is very common to see fluctuations in temperature and humidity, and hot and cold spots. Too high of humidity at lockdown can make the inner membrane sticky and prevent the chicks from hatching. Too high of humidity during incubation can decrease the size of the air cell, which can cause issues when the chick tries to hatch. This is why we always recommend a secondary hygrometer/thermometer in the incubator to make sure it is reading correctly. Please note that checking for fertility is only accurate if eggs are fresh/non incubated. After a complete incubation, the blastoderm is so degraded that it’s impossible to tell for certain if an undeveloped egg was fertile or not. You may get anywhere from a 0-100% hatch rate, please do not purchase if you are not aware of the risk of purchasing shipped hatching eggs. Because of these factors, we cannot guarantee that your eggs will hatch. With all this being said, the entire reason we do this is to help others to be self sustainable and successful with having coturnix quail. We really believe in having quail, we enjoy them very much and want to help you to be successful. Please be thoughtful of all these factors when providing feedback which should be based on communication, packaging and speed of which we shipped the eggs once you placed your order. We only ship by USPS Priority Mail because it is insured! We do everything we can to get you healthy quality hatching eggs. All eggs are inspected for damage prior to packaging, then securely packed in foam shippers that are custom made to ship quail eggs, and then they are well-packaged inside the boxes to avoid damage while in transit. Although most packages are delivered on time and undamaged, packages can experience shipping delays and rough handling that is beyond our control. If you see any signs of damage to your package please make a claim with the post office as dropping your eggs with that much force to cause damage will have a chance of damaging the eggs.If you received a package that is noticeably damaged on the outside or any eggs with any cracks or broken eggs please take photos before opening and throughout the entire process. You will need to file a claim with USPS online or in person at the post office where you will need to save your shipping box, packaging, all cracked/broken eggs to bring to the post office. Please do not ask us to file a claim for you if your package arrives damaged or late as this is a shipping issue not something we can control. Please make sure your address is correct in your account as that is where your package will be shipped to. Please let us know if you would like to have your package held at the post office for your pickup, good idea in extreme temperatures. Please do not leave leave negative feedback based on the post office being late or damaging your package, we can not control how the package is handled once the post office is in possession. Our eggs are shipped unwashed, so the bloom remains intact and protects the eggs from outside bacteria. Recommendations for resting and incubating:Once eggs arrive please keep the pointy end down while resting and then set in the incubator after you receive the eggs within 12 to 24 hours of coming to room temperature and resting. Resting is really important as it helps the eggs recover from the movement and temperature changes they undergo during shipping. We highly recommend a secondary hygrometer/thermometer in the incubator to make sure it is reading correctly. It's always a good idea to have your incubator up and running with the humidity and temperature stabilized prior to setting your eggs. We use and recommend using the Hatching Time CT SH Incubator which recommends temperatures and humidity specific to their products. For general non commercial incubators these are our suggestions but please refer to your own incubator manual for their official guidelines as they all differ somewhat. Set temperature at 99.5 degrees F and humidity of 45% for days 1 - 14 and then raise to 60 - 65% at lockdown when you stop turning then get ready for babies in about 3 days. Please consider leaving positive feedback, we are a small family/hobby farm and we would greatly appreciate your support! Thank you so much for looking and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
