These small cylindrical ceramic pellets, also known as ceramic media, are great for cushioning and/or filler when rock tumbling. They help deliver grit to rock surfaces, improve the tumbling action, and provide a gentler ride for the rocks you are tumbling. They are used for these purposes in the barrel during rotary tumbling or in the bowl when vibratory tumbling. They are angle-cut ceramic cylinders measuring approximately 3/16 inch (5mm) in diameter and 3/8 inch (10mm) in length. They are reusable and will last through many rock tumbling cycles. This media does not contain abrasive granules. This enables them to be used in all rock tumbling steps, in all sizes of grit and polish. Our photos may show a coin or a ruler.
