36"x80"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Solid Wood Wooden Entry Exterior Door 3 Panels

Description: Penn Antique Restoration 36"x80"x1.75" Antique Wooden Exterior Door w/3 Circular Panels Handsome, vintage, exterior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is painted on both sides. It has 3 circular panels on the exterior side, and 3, raised panels on the interior side. The door is heavy! I'd say about 80 - 100 pounds. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great, structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gaps, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. There is a small break on the top of the door (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the left or away from the home towards the right. We could change the swing of the door---message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
