Description: These (18 inch by 14 inch) platters are in fabulous condition. Difficult to find a collection of four — great news for that decor need for ranch-style living or for a country themed restaurant or other business. They can be hung with a large plate hanger; or placed on a wall rail or fireplace mantle. They can, also, be used as a hors d’oeuvre platter or Western themed charcuterie board. These platters are hand airbrushed — so each one is uniquely different. As shown on the back of the platters — they were made in the U.S.A. in 1959. They have been stored almost continuously since that time. I find no issues with them. Their vintage look is natural. The steer is authentic looking; and I believe that the raised lettering in the corners stand for the following: Left side “LCO” = “Lane Company” - Right side “BQ” = BBQ (and it emulates a brand from a branding iron). One of the best features is the lasso that surrounds the platter and is hanging from a pair of steer antlers. Great attention to western-style detail. They will be wrapped carefully with extra insurance. They are heavy though — which is a good thing for platter endurance; but shipping will be a bit more than a lesser weighted tray. “Yippee ki-yay”
