Description: This is a rather rare set of 4 gnome holiday ornaments based on Rien Poortvliet characters from the Book of Gnomes. The ornaments are licensed by Unieboek, b.v. in the Netherlands and manufactured in Hong Kong in 1979. There are two clip-on ornaments, and two hanging ornaments. They appear to be made of resin. The two clip-on ornaments:are a male and female couple in sitting poses with the traditional Rien Poortvliet clothinghave clips on their bases to attach to a tree or other area for decorationare approximately 3 inches/ 8 centimeters tall (not counting the clip) The two hanging ornaments:are a male and female couple in standing poses with the traditional Rien Poortvliet clothinghave holes through the top of their hats through which a hanging string is attachedare approximately 3.5 inches/ 9 centimeters tall These ornaments are pre-owned and in very nice, clean condition.
