Description: 45 photos, each 4.5x3.25", of the USS Providence in Italy in the late 40's. Also photos of US Air Force Helicopter UR-38. About half these photos are of military interest, and about half are tourist photos of several cities in Italy, many showing WW2 destruction or damage. One photo has a sailor standing with a USS Providence life ring. The providence was based in the Med from 1945-48, so sometime in this period. I don't know which tour.
