Description: 5 Antique Meriden Cutlery Knives + 2 Eagle Cutlery Co Knives. These knives are over 100 years old. The Meriden Cutlery Co made mostly high-end cutlery and was in business from 1855 to 1916 until they were purchased by a group called Landers Frary and Clark (LF&C). LF&C continued using the Meriden Cutlery Co name until 1924. Five of these knives are Meriden knives. The other two are Eagle Cutlery Co (also marked "Crescent Plate). I was unable to find any definitive information on the company, but it may have been a mark used by William Rogers & Co. in the 19th century. The box appears to be the original box, although all the corners have been broken along their seams. There is also what appears to be a pencil written signature inside the box (see photos).
