Description: For sale a SET OF 5 old LARGE 20C DENOMINATION (estimate 1900s era) attractive old "good for" trade tokens once used at the old "GENT'S DEN" (BELIEVE A BILLIARD HALL BAR, SPEAKEASY, POSSIBLY SOME GAMBLING GOING ON WITH THAT NAME) supposedly these tokens were used in the towns of FERTILE, MINNESOTA........and HARVARD NEBRASKAThe town of Harvard is located in Clay County....the little town of Fertile Minnesota is located in Polk County, I know little about these tokens, except that token website shows using in 2 different small towns. I love the term "GENTS DEN"....sort of like a 1920 version of todays popular "MAN CAVE" OR GAMBLING DEN.....great stuff :)These tokens are all in nice shape. I ended up with a small group of these old 20c tokens…will sell in sets of 5 on ebay "buy it now" until they are all goneAGAIN, YOU ARE BIDDING ON 5 EACH OF THE 20 CENT VARIETY TOKENS, THEY WILL LOOK SIMILAR TO PICTURES YOU SEE….great for antique shops, or have a few extras for traders.Trade tokens are brass, round, about 31mm in diameter (half dollar sized) , and all display nicely.
