It consists of a Charak Furniture Co "Danbury Table" accompanied by a set of four Chippendale styled ribbon back carved chairs. The Charak Furniture company was one of Boston's very best custom furniture makers of the early 20th Century. The Danbury table was one of their most desirable productions and only a precious few of these specimens find their way to the market place. This is an ultra high quality drop leaf table. It is outfitted with a swivel locking top that rotates and accepts two leafs. The slide and swivel actions on this table instantly tells you of its extraordinary craftsmanship. The table stands on a very attractive acanthus carved legged pedestal base with brass lion paw feet on brass caster wheels. It comes with four fabulous Chippendale styled Charak Ribbon back dining chairs consisting of one arm chair and three side chairs. The table opens up to 78 1/2" in length with its boxed set of two 15 1/2" leaves. It is 47" wide and 30" tall and folds up to 20 1/2".
