Description: 5 vol החלוץ : כתב עת למחקר, בקורת וחכמת ישראל HeHalutz Journal Makor Facsimile LANGUAGE: HEBREW VG CONDITION, HARDCOVER החלוץ היה כתב עת עברי בעריכת יהושע השל שור (יה"ש), שיצא לאור בהפסקות בשנים 1852–1889. בכתב העת הופיעו מאמרים פובליציסטיים ומחקריים בתחום חכמת ישראל, שמגמתם ביקורת חריפה על התלמוד, ההלכה והרבנים. כותרת המשנה של כתב העת הייתה "החלוץ העובר לפני עם ישראל למלחמת הדת והתושיה", ובשער בגרמנית הופיעה הכותרת "Wissenschaftliche Abhandlungen über Jüdische Geschichte, Literatur, und Alterthumskunde" ("מאסף מדעי על היסטוריה, ספרות וידיעת העבר של היהדות"). היוזמה להוצאת כתב העת הייתה של שור ושל ידידו הסטיריקן יצחק ארטר. ארטר כתב את "תולדות החלוץ", מאמר פרוגרמטי שהסביר את הצורך בכתב העת, אך נפטר מספר חודשים לפני שיצא לאור הגיליון הראשון, ושור לקח על עצמו את השלמת המאמר ואת עריכת כתב העת. בכרכים הראשונים השתתפו כמה מידידיו של שור ומשותפיו להשקפת עולמו, ובהם אברהם קרוכמל, יצחק שמואל רג'יו ומשה שטיינשניידר, אך בכרכים האחרונים כתב שור לבדו את כל התוכן. "החלוץ" היה הקיצוני שבכותבי הביקורת נגד האורתודוקסיה, נגד רבנים בני הזמן ואף נגד משכילים מתונים (כגון שי"ר, זכריה פרנקל ור' צבי הירש חיות). רבים מן המשכילים הסתייגו ממנו ואף נכתבו כמה חיבורי ביקורת חריפים נגדו, שעליהם השיב שור בחריפות לא פחותה. ואולם "החלוץ" השפיע על הדור הבא של הפועלים לתיקונים בדת במזרח אירופה, ובראשם יהודה ליב גורדון ומשה ליב ליליינבלום. כתב העת יצא לאור כשנתון, אך בהפסקות רבות: כרכים א-ג הופיעו בלבוב, 1852–1856 ד-ו, ברסלאו, 1859–1861 ז-ח, פרנקפורט, 1865–1869 ט-יא, פראג, 1873–1880 יב-יג, וינה, 1887–1889 מהדורת צילום של "החלוץ" עם מפתחות יצאה לאור ב-1972 בירושלים. בשם "החלוץ" נקראו גם כמה כתבי עת של תנועת "החלוץ".
