Germany (Hitler) wanted the Memel area back, and it was eventually annexed by Germany intothe Third Reich. It was bombed heavily by the allies and finally raped and pillaged by the Russians in 1945. Then, It went back to Lithuania which became a puppet state of USSR I hope that is all correct. Receive the actual stamp shown in a protective holder.
