Description: Hello! You are looking at a CNC carved 59 Les Paul style guitar top. Individually made in Tennessee. This particular top is made from kiln dried Curly Tennessee Hard Maple. This top is 1/4" thick at the edge and just under 3/4” at the thickest. The neck plane is a perfect 4.4* and the pickup plane is at 1.4*. The pickup plane intersects the neck plane just after the top of the neck pickup ring. The outline channel is oversized by 1/8”. Custom bodies, additional tops, templates and neck blanks available upon request A few tips for success:1. Keep the top attached to the fixture for a minimum of three days after arrival. Moisture and air changes can cause warping. The stability of the chipboard will keep the top flat while it acclimates to your workshop. 2. Unscrew to remove the top from the template 3. Bandsaw the frame off along the shape channel, the actual top edge is oversized by 1/8”. 4. Use the glue line to center it on your body5. When gluing, center then screw the top into the body using the pickup cavity pilot holes. This provides the downward pressure in the center when gluing.
