These 6x89 ceramic belts are close coat, resin on resin bonded which provides superior grain retention and reduces loading compared to other bonding methods. These ceramic belts also feature a grinding aid to further reduce loading and prevent heat buildup during use. 6 inch by 89 inch ceramic sanding belts are among the highest quality and longest lasting belts out there today due to their self sharpening and cool running capabilities. Ceramic grains have a fracturing characteristic which continually exposes new sharp edges to provide consistency throughout the useful life of the belt. Additionally, ceramic belts grind cooler, than other abrasive belts which protects the work piece as well as the belt itself, further lengthening the life of the belt. Ceramic belts are ideal for use on nearly any metal but are specifically useful on metals which are heat sensitive or susceptible to contamination such as stainless steel, nickel alloys or cobalt alloys. Ceramic belts are also suitable for wood, fiberglass, or plastics, these belts can last between 50% and 200% longer than the same belt made with zirconia or other abrasive grain. These 6" x 89" red ceramic belts are designed for edge, face, bevel or contoured sanding on a 6x89 oscillating edge sander. This Ceramic Sanding Belt Kit comes with belts ranging form 36 grit (Ultra Coarse) for high stock removal applications to 120 grit (Medium to Fine) for blending, finishing or cleaning applications.
