Description: Teal Traina (nephew of Anthony Traina, Norman Norell’s partner) created women’s clothing from the 1950s until 1978. Traina also was a partner with Malcolm Starr in Gino Charles. Geoffrey Beene worked there from 1958 through 1963, then Dominic Rompollo succeed him in the late 60s. This is a classic 1960s collarless suit jacket- think Jackie Kennedy- likely from the Geoffrey Beene years. We have seen similar garments described as loose cardigan jackets. Beautifully tailored with front patch pockets and interesting sculptural buttons. V-neck & came with a coordinating striped silk scarf. Fully lined with bright red silk.
