Push the rubber grommet out of the service cover and remove the wire. Position the 6599 Fuel Tank Lock Ring tool in this thread in the notches(circled in the image above). Note: This piece is a ring that hold the pump(white part in the middle) down. The black ring is separate from the pump. The pump is spring loaded so expect it to pop up a little. Attach your breaker bar and turn counter-clockwise, remover the ring until it is in completely loosened. Once the ring is loosened, vacuum the area again even if you did it before. 1.
