69 Bangladesh 1971 overprinted stamps -- blocks, bilingual and inverted, etc.

Description: Here we have an unusual group of 1971 Bangladeshi provisional overprints on Pakistani stamps. These were created in considerable haste when Bangladesh separated from Pakistan and come in many varieties. This group of 69 stamps includes bilingual overprints, an inverted pair, an overprint over two stamps and quite a few varieties. Some of the stamps are in blocks of up to 16 stamps. One pair has a Temporary Post Office postmark. Most also have "Service" overprints. An elusive group to start a collection of these stamps or for the specialist seeking better and interesting examples. They are not often seen in multiples like these and in such quantity. Please note that the stamps will not be sent in the stock page in which they were scanned unless the buyer pays extra for postage. The postage costs on this item are higher than I would like and, after leaving them unchanged for several years, I have raised them slightly in line with the 2024 postage rates. I strongly advise that items costing more than $40 be sent via tracked post and cannot be responsible for such items sent by ordinary post. The postage for a British buyer will be $2. As I have some fixed-price lots, anyone who purchases one of my items might want to look at them before paying. Additional postage is free for subsequent purchases unless they are too big for my normal very low basic rates. When payment for lots won is received by teatime British time (it is usually dished up about 4:30) I normally post the item the next morning.
