Description: The 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel engine utilizes a butterfly valve that opens and closes based on the engine's temperature. The Exhaust Back Pressure Valve was designed to assist the engine with warming up quicker. However, many 7.3 owners (especially those from warmer climates) found the feature unnecessary, and along with performance issues combined with the EBPV/Turbo pedastal being prone to oil leaks, decided the best course of action to take would be to disconnect the EBPV or gut the system entirely and replace the turbo pedastal with a non-EBPV variant. Unfortunately, doing this would cause the engine to produce a soft code when running an OBD scan (P0475) , which is especially troublesome for anyone living in a state that requires yearly emission testing. Having any codes pop up is usually an automatic failure, so extremely frustrating to say the least! There are EBPV code eliminators manufactured professionally, but will cost you around 30 bucks + shipping & handling. I am here to offer you a pack of 3 of these resistors that I have formed into the proper shape for you. All the resistors are brand new, and I wore gloves entire time while handling them. I have had the one in my truck installed for over a year now, and the code has never returned. My pickup is a 2001 so these resistors are valid for the 1999-2003 models. Possibly will work on 1994-1997 but I am unable to test that so I can't guarantee it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I will include a dollar in package to reimburse you cost, so you're getting this item for FREE! In return all that I ask is that if you are happy/satisfied with item that you please take a moment to leave feedback on the purchase. I would appreciate it greatly!
