Can be used for serving or for display.Measure: 8" wide, by 3-1/2" tall. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1920) which is over 100 years old now! Authentication/Documentation: This is a rare bowl seen in the c.1918 Carson, Pirie & Scott retailer catalogs, We know that Sterling co. cut this pattern and called it "Jupiter" from other resources. This is a very unique engraved and cut floral with a stunning geometric making this a very eye pleasing pattern for collectors, also hard to find. Condition: This is a gorgeous bowl made over 100 years ago. I see no unsightly or visible rim issues/chips., if you look hard enough you may find some microscopic contact nips that no one will notice that we find on every piece after 100 years of age. But See pictures of the rims as I go all the way around in close ups. Insurance claim (loss or damage): Please do not open a dispute with ebay without contacting me first because it is not necessary. I will make an insurance claim and you will be taken care of. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item. USPS will send a letter within a week asking for the item to be brought in for inspection, while other companies may come to the residence for the inspection by appointment. I have to get the claim approved and the item inspected BEFORE I can refund now because they always require inspections and we have to comply with them. So first, pictures.
