If broken, the coat will contain the liquid and glass for ease of disposal. Increased Laboratory Safety Biodegradable Liquid and Blue Dye Individual Serialization Permanently Fused Scale Certificate of Accuracy Included This is a partial immersion thermometer and it is designed to be immersed up to the inscribed immersion line. The permanently fused markings are black on a white background. The blue filling liquid is easy to read on the white backed glass. The armor case is nickel plated brass and it offers further protection from shock and rough handling during use of the glass thermometer. The front is slotted for ease of reading and it features a threaded screw cap with a ring for suspension applications. The bulb end has multiple perforations to allow use of the thermometer while still encased in the armor.
