There are 13 absolutely beautiful prints by Alexander Liezen Mayer that are on thicker paper. Many of them have tissue paper page protecting them. Alexander Liezen-Mayer (1839-1898) - Hungarian painter, professor of the Munich Academy. Book also Illustrated with 50 cardboard boxes according to the illustrations, Ornaments made by famous Rudolf Seitz. Rudolf Seitz was the most famous gilding and embossing plate designer and engraver of his generation. In 1870, his was invited to Vienna to paint a portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph. This book also has some copperplate engravings made by J. Bankel, J. F. Deininger, G. Goldberg, E. Forberg, F.Ludy. Binding: brown leather with a decoration on the face with the title embossed in the center, has gold trim.
