Description: This is not a modern reprint. Spine/joints appear to be leather. Heavy scuffing, cracking to spine. Heavy bumps and chipping to head, toe, corners, with significant loss. Boards are scuffed and soiled. Heavy tanning to edges. Slightly cocked spine. Shaken spine. Tanning and heavy foxing to pastedowns, flyleaves, end-pages. Previous owner’s signature on front end page. Tears to front end pages near the gutter. Preface page has stains near the top. Page 89 has pencil writing along the bottom edge. Some tanning to pages with sporadic foxing. I didn’t notice any other defects or intrusive markings to the interior pages. Please see photos for more details.
