Description: A "Used" Lynx #7 Brass, "Jerry Barber" Blade Style Putter with Tacki-Mac Grip! You may never have heard of Jerry Barber, but if you're a golf history fan, maybe you have. He was a PGA Tour Player and at the same time was the Head Professional for 6 years at the very exclusive Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, CA. Among some of the PGA Tournaments he won, was the 1961 PGA. He was also the Head Professional for 23 years at Griffith Park, in the near center of Los Angeles. Griffith Park has two courses, Wilson, and Harding, and Wilson was/is tough enough that it could have very well been a Tour stop, as (Municipal) Rancho Park was in West Los Angeles, that held the Los Angeles Open until it moved to Riviera Country Club! I have played all 3 courses many times, and they are all a true test of golf! Jerry Barber also marketed his own line of golf Irons. At 5'5" and 135 lbs, he was smaller than "Bantam" Ben Hogan, but still drove the ball out there along with the other long hitters. Perhaps that is the reason that this putter is fairly short at 33 inches long! It has the normal nicks and dings expected of a Brass Head putter that has bounced around in a golf bag. The steel shaft is topped by a "Round" Tacki-Mac grip that is not at all Tacky, but is surrounded with hundreds of small ridges to help you grip it firmly.
