Ink and light color on paper and description, with two seals 霞石, 朴寅碩, Painted with a scholar enjoying autumn scenery in high mountain and deep valleys, reading books at a pavilion, leaves are falling down behind a pavilion. It’s in good condition and framed, it measures 30cm x 21.5cm. *About the Artist: (See #1857) 하석(霞石), 박인석(朴寅碩]: 생몰년 미상 (1822-?), 19세기 중반에 활동한 화가. 자는 경협(景叶), 호는 하석(霞石). 19세기 중반에 활동한 도화서 화원으로, 궁중 행사에 동원되어 도화(圖畫) 업무를 담당하였다. 1846년 헌종의 어진도사에 이한철(李漢喆)·조중묵(趙重默)·박기준(朴基駿) 등과 함께 참여하였고, 1848년 순조·순원왕후와 익종·신정왕후에게 존호를 올리는 도감[純祖純元王后翼宗神貞王后上號都監]에 차출되어 왕실 의식과 관련된 기물의 제작 및 도화를 담당하였다. 중인 서화가로서의 예술적 활동상도 눈에 띄는데 1849년 유숙(劉淑)·이한철·허유(許維)·전기(田琦)·김수철(金秀哲) 등 화가들과 더불어 회화 경연을 벌이고 김정희(金正喜)에게 평을 받았던 일이다. 유존 작품으로「고촌모애도(孤村暮靄圖)」, 「곡오청람도(曲塢晴嵐圖)」, 「남산추색도(南山秋色圖) 등 몊점이 전한다.
