The dotted patterns across the face represent the many voices of the *walytja* (family) and ancestors, guiding the teenager through the complexities of growing up in a world that often pulls in conflicting directions. The wide, watchful eyes hold the questions of the future: How do I honour the *ngurra* (land) while finding my own path? The swirling lines surrounding the figure are a reminder of the interconnectedness of the *tali tali* (sand dunes), *kapi* (waterholes), and all the elements that shape the Martu identity.
