So, you can be assured that your paper is also going to be nontoxic and of high quality. The paper itself is 140 lb cold press 100% cotton watercolor paper of professional artist quality. It is thick and sturdy to hold up to pressure when writing. The surface has a cold-press texture, which is somewhat rough and has some tooth. I have written on it before with fountain and dip pens but it requires slow writing style to not skip a lot of small areas on the rough surface, depending on your nib. I also do not recommend applying water to the surface, as the watercolor paint may reactivate and run. Regular pen and ink is fine. Note: Each sheet is a unique handmade design so no two are alike.
