Description: This is a new crossover capacitor for one Acoustic Research AR-4x speaker. This replaces the old original capacitor which may have failed or likely shifted in value over the years. A pair of speakers requires two kits. This is of superior quality to the original. It has outstanding frequency response, high current capability and will not deteriorate with age like many of the old style electrolytic (chemical based) capacitors of years ago. Instructions for removal of the grilles, woofer and crossover installation are included with full color photos of the process. A schematic diagram is also included to assist with the change out. No soldering or technical knowledge is required. To install this, you will need to remove the woofer. Do not short change your project and try and reuse the old dried out cabinet sealer. AR speakers require a tightly sealed cabinet for those low notes they are famous for. New cabinet sealer is available in Dept. OTHER SPEAKER SERVICE PARTS.
