When they arrive, they find that the ape is actually a Kryptonian named Shir Kan, who was sent to Earth as a test subject by Jor-El, Superman's father. Shir Kan was raised by apes in the jungle, and he has developed superhuman strength and agility.Shir Kan is initially hostile to Superman, but he eventually comes to understand that Superman is a good person. The two of them team up to stop a group of criminals who are trying to steal a secret formula.
