First Step: (See pictures and diagrams) Connect the Dremel® flex shaft to the Dremel® Rotary Tool as usual. ► Unscrew the collet nut, remove the collet, remove the nose piece and set aside. ► Screw a Driver Cap onto the threaded nose shaft of the Dremel Rotary Tool. ► Screw the end of the flex shaft (called the overthrown nut assembly) onto the Dremel Rotary Tool. Second Step: (See pictures and diagrams) Ready the Right-Angle Attachment for the Flex Shaft Nosepiece. ► Unscrew the collet nut, remove the collet, remove the nose piece and set aside. ► Remove the Collar and the Inner Adapter from the Right-Angle attachment. ► Set the Inner Adapter to the side. You will only need the Collar. Third Step: (See pictures and diagrams) Connect the Dremel® Right-Angle Attachment to the Dremel® Flex Shaft. 1. Unscrew the collet nut, remove the collet, and unscrew and remove the handpiece cap from your Dremel flex shaft handset. (Set these parts aside as they will not be needed for connecting the Right-Angle Attachment.) 2. Screw a driver cap onto the threaded nose shaft of the flex shaft handset. Tighten. 3. Place the Right-Angle Attachment Collar onto the flex shaft handpiece. Open-end facing the threaded nose shaft. 4. Screw on the special adapter. (This will hold the collar in place and allow it to be connected properly to the Right-Angle Attachment.) 5. Attach the Right-Angle Attachment housing set (body). First, push the Right-Angle Attachment Body down onto the hexagon nut. Then push/pull the Collar, put on the flex shaft handpiece in step three (3) above to the body, and screw it onto the Attachment Collar. Be sure everything is tightened. Do Not Screw the Body Into the Attachment Collar, it may not seat properly. That’s It: You’re ready to use the Right-Angle Attachment on the Flex Shaft to start cutting, sanding, grinding, drilling, and more in hard-to-reach places. Using the Dremel® Right-Angle Attachment? ► Despite its name, the Right-Angle Attachment, it can be directed and used at virtually all angles. ► Provides the ability to fasten and run your tool bits at an angle. This is extremely helpful when working in places that can be hard to reach and/or when the tool bit requires cutting or grinding at an angle. For example, provides the ability to do 90-degree cuts on flat surfaces to cut a metal screw or bolt. ► The Right-Angle Attachment is designed for use with the Dremel® Rotary Tool. It uses a Dodecagon (12-sided) shape on one side that is advertised to permit the attachment to be placed in 12 different directions when used on the Dremel® Rotary Tool. This special adapter has the same Dodecagon (12-sided) shape. Be Aware: When using the Right-Angle Attachment, you are not applying pressure along the axis of the rotating tool bits. Therefore, there will be less control over the tool bit, and it can take practice to properly use the Right-Angle Attachment, whether on the Dremel® Rotary Tool or the Dremel® Flex Shaft.
