Description: Selling this early blue & white stenciled Small " ALLSPICE " canister WITHOUT the lid. The stenciling is COBALT blue. It measures approx. 3" high (without lid) x 2-1/4" dia. at the top rim. I do not know the name of the stenciling pattern - maybe some can help me identify the pattern. It is A.E. Hull from the early 1900's. The canister is embossed with diagonal bands at the bottom. CONDITION: This piece is in excellent near mint condition with minor roughness to the bottom rim and a few minor chips to the unglazed bottom foot. It has some glaze pits, pops, and discoloration. That is it! NO CHIPS, CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. It has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD yellow ware / stoneware (i.e., pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze). PLEASE VIEW PICTURES CLOSELY FOR DETAILS & CONDITION AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Guaranteed OLD & AUTHENTIC and NOT A REPRODUCTION.
