We conservatively and follow Gold Mine's grading standard. For these listings, the only grading done is to visually assess the condition of the cassette. Grading does not take into account the wear on the case or the j-card. Please refer to pictures for condition of case and j-card. All cassettes have been checked that pressure pads are intact. That said, these are often 40 year old tapes, and sometimes the pads will loosen during shipment. These lots have been visually graded ONLY and our grades do not reflect how the cassette may play. If you'd like any items test played, please send a message and we will try to get back to you the next day with results. Grades are as follows: SS: Still sealed: Record is in its original seal and has not been played. NM- Near Mint Minus. The cassette shows no signs of handling wear EX Excellent. Cassette shows very light signs of handling wear. The printed information will show no fading and there will be no staining or residue on the tape itself. VG+: Very good plus. Cassette appears to have been played often but has been well cared for. VG: Very good. A well played, average cassette with more visible surface wear than above grades. Possible fading of the print and spots, stains or residue on the shell VG- : Very good minus. A well worn tape with notable fading of printed information, significant spotting and staining on shell, and likely residue on the tape itself. G: Good. Heavy wear. A poor quality tape. All of my products are thoroughly checked during the procurement, listing and shipping processes. I try to grade conservatively because I'd rather you be pleasantly surprised by the quality of a record then disappointed. Grades are, of course, subjective and I sometimes miss things. If a product isn't as described, I always issue returns with no hassle, so please message me to start the return process if you aren't 100% satisfied.
