Description: African Beaded Tribal Necklace and Bracelet by Glade Creek Art. Sizeable Bracelet, this one i an 8. Just let me know. I love this piece so much! It makes you think of Spring when everything is so dull looking in winter. The cylinder shape beads are called Milifiori Venetian trade beads. They use Venetian glass beads and melt them on the outside of a glass tube. These are vintage, but you can look through my other work and see some very old trade beads. These beads were made Italy and used as currency along the trade route to Africa until the 1950s. They are very beautiful and highly collectible. African beads always appreciate in value. The flat black glass beads are called Ashante.' They are made by the Ashante tribe in Ghana Africa. The bone beads are water Buffalo. Species, Bubalus bubalis. These beads were made by the Tandy company in India in the 70's. I'm hoping to buy more from the collector before they are gone. The solid green clear glass beads are Krobo from Ghana Africa. The black 8mm glass beads are just that, a smooth texture nice bead. This piece is strung on heavy. 45mm nylon coated stainless steel wire. The lobster closure is stainless steel along with the other small parts.
