Description: Camp Fairbanks No. 16 Arctic Brotherhood Invitation card varies from light blue to a light green in color, will send yours randomly This is an unused invitation card from the Camp Fairbanks - it's to invite a man and his lady to attend monthly social sessions of the Arctic Brotherhood Haven't heard of the Arctic Brotherhood so I checked around and this is what I found: It's a group that started back in 1899 on a steamship headed to Skagway Alaska by a group of men that were on their way Alaska to go look for gold. Started out with the 11 men on the boat then after reaching land and getting it going, went to over 300 members! They had at one time over 10,000 members and more then 30 Camps all spread out in Alaska and British Columbia The Fairbanks Camp #16 was started in 1903 and from poor management it kind of fell apart to where they had to re-establish it in 1907 The Arctic Brotherhood lasted until late 1920's early 1930's or so.
