Description: This very unusual painting is by Albert Londraville (1922-2015). He studied under the famous Russian American Master, Nicolai Fechin, and Albert was a MGM scenic artist who painted movie backdrops. Albert also studied at the Lukits’ Academy of Fine Arts and often painted together with Theodore Lukits on site (plein air) and in the studio (still life’s). During this time, Albert studied both Japanese Sumi-e and Chinese Brush Painting and Philosophy. I acquired most of the large collection of paintings from the Albert Londraville estate and this is a very special painting. It is a painting of a statue of a Chinese figure. Albert titled this painting, “And Sun That. Is Gone”, and I added “II” to this listing because Albert painted a larger version (also on EBAY). This painting is a gorgeous painting mounted in a beautiful black and gold frame. The painting (oil on board) is 20” x 16” (27” x 23” framed). This is a showcase painting for your home or office.
