This Locomotive is NOT DCC ready, however it can be easily converted to DCC using a hardwired decoder. Tested these on 10/17/24 and both ran flawlessly. Both have the characteristic ALCO growl from sitting a while but should improve with break in/lubrication. Original box is in like new condition with only minimal signs of wear from shelf storage. Original foam has been upgraded using REBOXX’s custom foam inserts to better protect these beauties for years to come. All Brass Locos typically need a little TLC and fine tuning, lubrication, adjustment and break-in to achieve optimal performance.
