Description: Up for sale is a teacup and saucer set made by Alfred Meakin in England in the Golden Astoria pattern. In production in the 1940's, this pattern features a border of golden flowers - all trimmed in gold on a scalloped rim. The cup stands 2 7/8 inches tall and measures 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle. The saucer measures 5 3/4 inches in diameter. This vintage set is in good used condition with no chips or cracks. There is moderate crazing as well as utensil marks in the centre of the saucer. There is gilt loss along the rims. Please send a message with any questions you may have.
