Substrate is composed of coco coir, vermiculite, and minerals that any dung-lover mushroom will thrive on. The moisture provided is plenty to support healthy flushes! Just give the injection port a wipe with alcohol and inject your culture directly into the grain section, then watch it grow! Please note that these bags are not supplied with culture, you will need to provide your own, and this item is intended for use with a live liquid culture. Depending on your culture strength, chosen species, or grow conditions, you should begin to see mycelium spreading through the grain in about 14 days. Once the grain is colonized with the mycelium, simply break up the STILL-SEALED bag and massage the grain into the rest of the substrate, then allow it to continue colonizing until the whole block is permeated with mycelium. At this point, the bag is ready to initiate fruiting according to your selected variety! The substrate inside is designed to provide all the moisture and nutrients for healthy mycelium with a texture composition to allow for easy penetration of the mycelium through the substrate.
