Description: On offer, we have a signed woodcut by Allen Lewis. This is a bold print of a priest giving the last rites to a dying man. The artist's signature "A" is in the lower left corner and below the woodcut it is signed in pencil "Allen Lewis imp". The bottom right has "20+" written in pencil. This very thin cream woven paper is 9" X 6 1/4" with the image 5 1/4" X 3 7/8". Allen Lewis (1873-1957) was a rated American artist who lived in Alabama and New Jersey. We believe this in excellent vintage condition. The printing is bright, bold, clean and clear. It has been handled and has some light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who collects everything and is starting to part with a few of his treasures.
