General Natural History of Fish. (Allgemeine Naturgeschichte der Fische)By Marcus Elieser Bloch. Originally published between 1782 and 1795, this is a fascimile reprint edition published by the American Museum of Natural History in 1993, which is known for its hundreds (>400) of excellent, hand colored plates. In addition to the two plate volumes offered here, the facsimile originally included four text volumes (not available). Each volume comprises 216 color plates. They are of excellent quality, and reproduce the images at the size of the originals; these are oversize volumes (16 x 11"), bound in lightly textured faux leather.
